I think you have good ideas for a composition. Are the eyes in the upper right perhaps his initial resurrection from Sarafan corpse to vampire? That's how I visualize it. :) I also like the texture you added to the face!

I must commend you for wanting to improve. We're all at some stage, trying to get to the next level, haha. Keep it up, and if you want some tips, I'm happy to offer what I've learned. That's not an underhanded way to say your art hurts my eyes, haha, but it's hard to arrange tips for someone into one response, and after only seeing one work. I just know what it's like to want to improve, and I feel for anyone who seeks it. A desire for betterment deserves an answer. You won't see much of my traditional art on here, but it's the medium I got a good grip on first.

im not too sure bout the eyes.. i needed something up there, but when i did it i think i was kinda thinkin of the cover to Blood Omen where they had a pair of eyes at the top which i thought were either kains or Mortanius', so in my pic i suppose it would be either raziel's or Kains's, and they are over watching raziel. (yeah that sounds better.)

yeah i would like ato get into some other forms of drawing, such as digital. but i currently dont have the means to progress, i need some school for sure. cuase i do not have my own computer or programs to acutally even try to fiddle with any of this other cool sstuff. like color. but i believe i currently have a problem with how fast i draw. i would like to take a long time on a pic but most my stuff i do i get down in around a hour or two. so if i could strive for a lil more perfection that would be awesome, but what i really need to get a grasp of is angles and anatomy. i always want a comic book look but cant acheive it cause i dont know how things should look from a sweet flashy angel. like camera looking up from ur feet. but thanks

" i currently have a problem with how fast i draw. i would like to take a long time on a pic but most my stuff i do i get down in around a hour or two" - I hear ya. Once I had the patience to get a lot of detail into a pic, but now my hurriedness comes out in even my digital work. I guess we both have to train ourselves with that.

I would love to do a comic someday too, and you're right, angles anatomy, and next resources for settings and the lay of a scene, are the most important, I think. At first I was using posemaniacs. But you should really try DAZ studio. It's free. Get the model set up how you want, get an angle you like, and then just hint the "print screen" button on your keyboard, paste to paint, cut out the "window" you want to use. Granted, learning how to use a ruler to give a scene perspective is valuable too, and you'll want to practice freehanding as much as possible so you still develop your skills.

That's the one! No, it's a very trustworthy site! Make an account, download it, act like you are buying it because it will say $0, you won't be charged. Go to your account and "my downloadable purchases" or something like that. Daz will really really help with angles and stuff. But do learn how to do a perspective plane, use that and DAZ together, you'll be laying out complex scenes in no time!

As far as I know, DAZ is not an overly invasive program. If you are familiar with downloading programs, and even if you aren't, I suppose, it will be easy to remove if it takes up too much space. While it's not running or open, it shouldn't slow anything down unless it exceeds her computer's storage. Exactly how much space it takes, however, will also be shown somewhere on the site. It may not run super fast on a "grandma computer" I've got my own experience with those, haha. If she has anything made since 07, it really should run ok, though you may have to be a little patient and let it load now and then when posing models. There are a lot of videos on youtube, I think, to help you get a better idea of what it is. :)

indeed. good tips, yes i would like to do either comics or videogames, yeah i'll have to try this program, cause what i do now is take a pic of myself with my camera phone and use my own body as a model reference, and it helps but this sounds better
